Blackwelder is an adaptive reuse project of 19 existing, standalone buildings on a 6.4-acre landmark campus in Culver City, California.

Designed with the specific needs of creative and media companies in mind, the self-contained site offers over 150,000 square feet of curated creative office space.
Individual buildings are city- approved for a variety of creative purposes, including media production and related services.

Design

 

features an eclectic range of architectural vernaculars, from purely industrial concrete block masonry and bow-truss roofs to steel frames and corrugated metal

 

Dust Collectors

Original dust collectors, large industrial metal barn doors and patinated facades figure prominently throughout the Blackwelder campus.

Retaining the property’s authentic historic character, while contributing to the area’s aesthetic image and economic growth.

Blackwelder stands as one of the last remaining campus properties of historic or architectural significance, offering over 150,000 rentable square feet in the Los Angeles area.
